Goalie Army Academy is currently seeking to expand our goalie school by adding reliable team players to our roster who will deliver our professional goalie training services.  If you have a passion for hockey, a professional and mature attitude, a desire to be a part of the on-ice advancement of others, and want to get paid for it, then the position listed below may be a great fit for you.

The 2015-16 hockey season is approaching and Goalie Army Academy is seeking Shooters to provide professional goalie training experiences to our clients.

We’re looking for individuals who demonstrate a willingness to provide exceptional customer service to our clients via our goalie training services by enabling our students to face shots which are challenging, while engaging with each student to ensure that they’re having fun throughout their goalie training and ongoing development.

Throughout the pre-season and regular season, we’ll be offering goalie training services to our clients which enable us to provide flexible working arrangements to our Shooters during evenings and weekends.

Successful candidates must be able to work within a fast-paced team environment, have great listening and communication skills, as well as excellent skating, passing, and shooting abilities.  Although not essential, previous relative experience, bilingualism, first aid certification, and coaching certifications are considered assets when applying.

Duties:

Arrive prior to each scheduled goalie training session to allow yourself to be dressed in a Goalie Army Academy track suit, and capable of being on the ice at the start of their designated shift with the necessary CSA equipment (stick, gloves, skates, and helmet).

Arrange the practice setup (placement of nets, pucks, cones, etc.) according to the direction of our instructors, and demonstrators in a timely manner, and pick up pucks and other training equipment at the end of each goalie training session.

Shoot, pass, and carry/stickhandle pucks during goalie training sessions according to the direction of Goalie Army Academy’s instructor and demonstrator explanations during exercise demonstrations.  Shooters must do so at the appropriate speeds to match the calibre of each individual student while ensuring that students are being challenged at all times.

Work closely with demonstrators and instructors to fully understand each goalie training exercise so that they are able to deliver each exercise according to Goalie Army Academy’s curriculum, and service standards.

Bilingual Shooters may be asked to provide students with exercise explanations to our French speaking students during goalie training sessions.

Compensation:

Despite being one of the best jobs there is for a hockey player, our wages are very competitive.  Successful applicants will be contacted and provided with offers.
