WEHL PARTNERSHIP

We are very excited to announce GAAHockey’s new partnership with the WEHL

Throughout the summer we have had meetings with the WEHL’s VP of Development, Fred Barzyk, to discuss the possibility of leading the WEHL’s preseason conditioning camps, evaluations, and ongoing goaltender development clinics in order to ensure that goaltenders are being taught the necessities for building a proper technical foundation, continue to improve, and to keep fun in the game.  We are pleased to announce, that GAAHockey and the WEHL have negotiated a partnership for the 2013-14 hockey season.

We are extremely excited to be working with the WEHL to aid in the development of their goaltenders.  By doing so, it will allow us to work with many goaltenders from Novice to Midget age groups.

In recent years, the WEHL had obtained the services from another local goaltending school in the Ottawa-area.  This year however, the WEHL decided that it was time for a change due to the feedback from goaltender’s parents about the need for a more attentive goaltending coach who is capable of proper technique-foundation coaching as well as ensuring that the participants are having fun.

This partnership will add to GAAHockey’s penetration into Ottawa’s west-end, as a partnership is already in place with the Ottawa West Golden Knights Hockey Association.

Look out Ottawa!  Ottawa’s west-end will be developing some elite goaltenders over the next couple of years…
